Paul Modern B Frame, Waltz

Posted by Reggie on 14 Oct 2009 | Tagged as: Dances, Paul DS modern B, Waltz

Framing exercises/tips:

In a simple waltz step (natural right, spin turn, natural left), first the lady tries to squeeze the frame while the man holds it, then vice versa.
Each dancer must hold their own frame.
Also try the exercise with the lady holding frame up and man with hands behind back – and vice versa.
Each dancer needs to be able to keep the frame even if their partner tries to distort it.
At the end of a tiring competition, the frame must still be strong and not show any sign of tiredness.
Concentration does not mean you lose the smile – it is possible to smile, dance and concentrate.
Always look up.

Waltz:

Natural right turn
Fast spin (1 And) two steps back
Left turn ending with crossed feet (Gent: RF crossing behind LF with weight) facing LOD (1, 2, 3 and)
Double reverse spin
Two locking steps back into
